Job description

The Specialist – Petroleum Production SME at AIQ in Abu Dhabi is responsible for leading the development and deployment of data-driven production optimization solutions across oil and gas assets by integrating advanced analytics, real-time field sensor data, dynamic reservoir data, and physics-based models. The role involves applying petroleum engineering knowledge to develop scalable industrial software solutions, contributing to R&D initiatives for next-generation production optimization and surface/subsurface techniques, and supporting well performance, artificial lift systems including Gas Lift and ESP, and digital oilfield deployments such as IFM, IVM, and IPM. The position requires conducting studies related to stimulation, well design, reservoir flow properties, production testing, and fluid behavior while optimizing inflow assurance, completion performance, sand control, well reliability, vertical lift performance, and debottlenecking operations. Responsibilities include integrating operations systems with full field production delivery, providing detailed well intervention programs, coordinating workover activities including testing, stimulation, coil tubing, and e-line operations, and recommending completion requirements while addressing well integrity and reliability. The role also involves identifying cost reduction opportunities, improving operational efficiency through workflow automation and digital oilfield solutions, centralizing asset surveillance and alerts, participating in tenders and business development, and supporting internal and external audits. The position requires expertise in petroleum engineering disciplines including drilling, completion, stimulation, well testing, workover and rigless activities, production optimization, and familiarity with industry-standard software such as PVT Sim, Multiflash, Prosper, PipeSim, and OLGA, along with enterprise data management and visualization solutions.
