Job description
The Process Engineer - Utilities & Tank Farm at Aramco will be part of the Global Manufacturing Excellence organization under the Downstream Operation Engineering Solutions Department (OESD), supporting Aramcoâs refineries, NGLF, and petrochemical plants. The engineer will lead utilities performance optimization through regular reviews, KPIs analysis, and benchmarking reports. Responsibilities include remote and on-site advisory support, troubleshooting, start-up/shutdown coordination, and capacity testing of utility systems. This role also involves conducting internal assessments, identifying low-cost process improvements, and implementing corporate initiatives. The engineer will coordinate technology evaluation, deliver technical training, participate in HAZOP and SIL studies, and lead investigations into utility-related incidents. Candidates must hold a bachelorâs degree in Chemical Engineering (advanced degree preferred) and have at least 15 years of experience in utilities process engineering, including water desalination and steam generation systems. Strong data analysis, coordination, stakeholder management, and presentation skills are required. English fluency is essential.

Experience & skills
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering; advanced degree preferred
- Have at least 15 years of utilities process engineering experience
- Possess 10+ years of hands-on refinery utilities operations
- Demonstrate expertise in water desalination and steam generation boilers
- Have proven experience optimizing utility systems and delivering results
- Show proficiency in troubleshooting and capacity testing
- Be familiar with utility equipment suppliers and packages
- Exhibit strong data analysis and presentation skills
- Possess excellent coordination and stakeholder management capabilities
- Be fluent in English, both written and verbal
