Job description
The Senior Specialist B&M CS EMC is responsible for managing pre-season and in-season Planning & Buying of Lifestyle categories for Own Retail concept stores and Ecom across the EMC region (UAE, KSA, KAZ, UKR, MOR, EGY). The role contributes to maximizing sales, profitability, and brand equity by building and executing the merchandising strategy for the market while managing direct reports. Working closely with the Senior Manager (CS + Ecom) and Director Merch, the specialist supports execution of MENA DTC merchandising goals, ensuring deployment through engagement with Business Units (BUs), Concept-to-Consumer (CTC), and Hub teams. The position is accountable for delivering financial targets including Net Sales, Sell Through, and Standard Margin for assigned categories. The role requires optimization of in-season trade through collaboration with Retail & Ecom Operations across EMC markets, leveraging available tools and market trends to derive consumer insights and translate learnings into pre-season and in-season strategies. The specialist owns and presents Strategy, Ranging, Segmentation, and Volume Plans for future season buys, ensuring adherence to key buying milestones and timeline management. Alignment with Brand Calendar, Omni execution, Visual Merchandising, and Supply Chain Management (SCM) ensures timely campaign execution and product arrivals. The role requires consistent collaboration with B&M, Brand, SCM, Hub, EM, and Global Merchandising and CTC teams while driving structured, commercially focused, and results-driven merchandising initiatives.

- Manage pre-season and in-season Planning & Buying of Lifestyle categories for Own Retail concept stores and Ecom across the EMC region (UAE, KSA, KAZ, UKR, MOR, EGY)
- Build and execute the merchandising strategy to maximize sales, profitability, and brand equity while managing direct reports
- Collaborate with Senior Manager (CS + Ecom) and Director Merch to execute MENA DTC merchandising goals and ensure deployment with BU’s, CTC, and Hub
- Deliver financial targets including Net Sales, Sell Through, and Standard Margin for assigned categories
- Optimize in-season trade by liaising with Retail & Ecom Operations across EMC markets and applying market trends and consumer insights into strategy
- Own and present Strategy, Ranging, Segmentation, and Volume Plans for future season buys while ensuring milestone timelines are achieved
- Attend and complete tasks associated with key buying milestones to support seasonal vision and category strategy
- Ensure execution of Category campaigns by aligning with Brand Calendar, Omni execution, Visual Merchandising, and Supply Chain Management (SCM) to secure timely arrivals
- Maintain consistent touch-bases with direct reports and conduct weekly and bi-weekly meetings with B&M, Brand, SCM, and Hub stakeholders
Experience & skills
- 4–6 years of Merchandising experience
- University degree in Business, ideally with Marketing and Sales focus, or equivalent professional experience
- Strong commercial acumen with ability to manage Net Sales, Sell Through, and Standard Margin targets
- Experience in Planning & Buying, including pre-season and in-season merchandising strategy
- Ability to manage cross-functional collaboration with BU’s, CTC, Omni, Visual Merchandising, Retail & Ecom Operations, and Supply Chain Management
- Strong understanding of category management, consumer insights, and market trend analysis at country level
- Project management mindset with structured, organized, and process-oriented approach
- Fluency in English
- Ability to present strategies clearly to varied audiences and perform effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure team environments
