Key responsibilities

• Supervise Engineering in the absence of the Director of Engineering
• Manage the physical plant including equipment, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life safety systems
• Establish and manage an effective rooms maintenance program
• Ensure compliance with all Engineering policies, standards, and procedures
• Control departmental expenses to meet or exceed budget
• Order equipment, supplies, and furnishings
• Inspect and evaluate physical condition of facilities
• Recommend or arrange for additional maintenance services
• Maintain accurate logs and records
• Plan and evaluate preventative maintenance programs
• Resolve guest problems and complaints
• Empower employees to provide excellent service
• Communicate property maintenance priorities
• Celebrate staff successes and foster team collaboration
• Support compliance with facility regulations and safety standards
• Review employee satisfaction and address concerns
