Job description
A major railway project in Dubai includes airport interfaces, from landside and terminal integration to Baggage Handling Systems (BHS), passenger flow and intermodal connections. Keeping every one of those interfaces coordinated, along with civil, structural, rail systems, stations and operational disciplines, is the job of this Design Integration and Interface Manager. Your first task is the Interface Management Plan and Design Integration Strategy, followed by an interface register that tracks every interface to resolution. Interface workshops bring together project teams, contractors, airport stakeholders and authorities, and interface agreements set out who owns what. Systems Engineering runs alongside, with requirements flow-down, interface definition and traceability maintained through the Configuration and Requirements teams. Design reviews are led from this seat, making sure airport and BHS interfaces are properly addressed. Construction teams will rely on that clarity once delivery starts. The position calls for 10 years in rail projects or rail operations, ideally in the GCC, with proven design integration and interface management experience on large-scale rail or infrastructure work. Airport integration experience is expected, and exposure to BHS is an advantage.
