Job description
Novotel Sharjah Expo Centre is seeking a creative and motivated Marketing Intern (Content Creator) to support its marketing team in promoting the hotel across digital and print platforms. This role is ideal for candidates passionate about hospitality marketing, social media, and storytelling through content. The intern will assist with digital marketing campaigns, social media management, content creation, and brand collateral, ensuring alignment with Novotel’s identity. This internship provides hands-on exposure to hotel marketing within an international brand, mentorship opportunities, and the chance to build a professional portfolio.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Assist in creating and scheduling social media content (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok).
- Monitor and analyze social media performance, suggesting improvements.
- Support paid social media advertising campaigns (Facebook Ads, Instagram Ads, Google Ads).
- Engage with followers and respond to comments/messages in a timely manner.
- Develop written, visual, and video content for digital and print marketing.
- Assist in photography and videography for promotional materials such as events, F&B, and room tours.
- Edit and retouch images/videos to align with brand standards.
- Update and organize digital assets such as photo/video libraries, brand guidelines, and presentations.
- Assist in designing and producing brochures, flyers, menus, and signage.
- Support email marketing campaigns and newsletter creation.
- Assist in coordinating promotional events and partnerships.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis.
- Collaborate with Sales, F&B, and Front Office teams for cross-promotional initiatives.
Experience & skills
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, Media, or related field.
- Strong interest in social media, content creation, and digital marketing.
- Basic knowledge of design tools such as Canva, Adobe Photoshop, or Illustrator.
- Familiarity with photography, videography, and editing software (Lightroom, Premiere Pro, CapCut).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (additional languages preferred).
- Creative, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior internship or project experience in marketing preferred but not required.
