Job description
The Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the Express and domestic operations to ensure effective, efficient, and compliant workflow in line with company standards, procedures, and policies. The role requires managing and motivating a team of operations personnel, providing coaching, mentorship, and conducting performance reviews, while ensuring adherence to safe work practices. The Operations Supervisor monitors team schedules, staffing levels, and resource allocation, including management of company vehicles and optimization of delivery routes. The role includes oversight of cash handling procedures, compliance with cash on delivery (COD) transactions, and ensuring timely responses to customer inquiries and complaints. The supervisor collaborates with internal departments to maintain smooth operational flow and implements operational standards, tracking performance data, identifying risks or losses, and preparing performance reports. The position emphasizes building outstanding teams, setting clear direction, simplifying workflows, collaborating across silos, driving execution and accountability, fostering growth mindset, encouraging innovation and inclusion, and maintaining an external focus on customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

- Supervise and motivate a team of operations personnel, providing coaching, mentorship, and regular performance reviews to ensure achievement of departmental goals and continuous team development.
- Plan, monitor, and optimize team schedules, staffing levels, and allocation of resources, including personnel, equipment, and technology, to maintain operational efficiency and meet service standards.
- Manage company vehicles and delivery resources, track and optimize delivery routes, and implement best practices to maximize efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Oversee cash handling procedures, manage cash on delivery (COD) transactions, ensure compliance with company policies and financial controls, and address discrepancies or issues promptly.
- Monitor team performance, analyze operational data to identify inefficiencies, potential risks, or losses, and implement corrective strategies to enhance workflow and productivity.
- Collaborate effectively with customer service teams and other internal departments to resolve operational issues, ensure timely response to customer inquiries and complaints, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, safety procedures, and operational standards, providing guidance to team members and enforcing compliance throughout daily operations.
- Prepare, track, and present performance reports, including metrics on team efficiency, operational output, and areas for improvement, facilitating management decision-making and strategic planning.
Experience & skills
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Logistics, or a related field (preferred), with relevant academic knowledge of operational processes.
- Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role within an operations environment, demonstrating experience in managing and motivating teams and leading operational projects.
- Proven ability to implement, enforce, and optimize operational standards and procedures, including workflow management, scheduling, resource allocation, and delivery operations.
- Strong leadership skills, with experience in team development, coaching, mentorship, and performance management in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated skills in data analysis, risk identification, problem-solving, and decision-making to improve operational efficiency and mitigate potential losses.
- Experience in cash handling and COD transaction management, ensuring adherence to financial controls, policies, and procedures.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with internal departments, customers, and stakeholders to maintain smooth operational flow and high customer satisfaction.
- Competency in delegation, direction, crisis management, and maintaining safety compliance while fostering a growth mindset, innovation, inclusion, and accountability within the team.
