Job description
Turning a design concept into something that can be engineered, manufactured and installed is the core skill this Design Production & Manufacturing Lead brings to a creative studio in Dubai. A multidisciplinary team of product designers, interior designers, 3D visualisers and technical designers reports to you. Projects run from concept and technical development through costing, prototyping, fabrication, quality control and installation. Technical drawings, shop drawings and specifications are reviewed for accuracy and buildability, and manufacturing methods are chosen to balance design intent, budget, quantity and lead time. Work spans furniture and product collections, B2B and B2C commissions across interiors, hospitality and retail, and installations for exhibitions and design fairs with fixed opening dates. A network of UAE and international manufacturers, fabricators and craftspeople needs building and managing, with particular interest in UAE manufacturing and regional craft techniques. Budgets, programmes and trackers are set with the Project Manager, and margins are protected without compromising quality. Ideally you bring 10 to 15 years of relevant experience, a degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering or Engineering and professional AutoCAD skills, with Revit, Rhino, SketchUp, SolidWorks and Adobe Creative Suite an advantage. The salary is AED 18,000 to 20,000 per month on a permanent basis.
