Job description
Manager, Sourcing (Emiratised Role) at First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) in Abu Dhabi responsible for executing sourcing and procurement strategies across assigned categories while delivering measurable value to the organization. The role focuses on aligning supply and demand of goods and services through strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, contract lifecycle management, and category management initiatives. The position requires collaboration with key stakeholders including finance, legal, HR, and business units to develop sourcing strategies aligned with corporate objectives. The Manager, Sourcing will lead sourcing transformation initiatives, manage supplier relationships, and ensure cost savings, risk reduction, and service improvements. The role also involves performing spend analysis, developing sourcing plans, tracking savings performance, and maintaining market intelligence. The position plays a key role in supporting sourcing governance, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies. The role requires leadership in cross-functional initiatives, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement of sourcing processes to support business objectives and enhance operational efficiency within the bank.

Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute category sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives, ensuring optimal value delivery, cost savings, and risk mitigation across sourcing categories.
- Lead supplier sourcing activities including preparing requests for quotations, evaluating proposals, negotiating contracts, and selecting suppliers in collaboration with internal stakeholders and legal teams.
- Collaborate with Category Manager and Head of Sourcing to define sourcing strategies, set performance objectives, and monitor progress across assigned categories.
- Conduct spend analysis, usage analysis, and benchmarking to develop annual sourcing plans and identify cost optimization opportunities.
- Maintain market intelligence and update category strategies based on industry trends, supplier performance, and changing business requirements.
- Represent sourcing function in cross-functional projects and large initiatives, providing supplier engagement strategy and value creation insights.
- Monitor and report sourcing performance, savings achievements, and category performance metrics to senior management.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, best practices in category management, and stakeholder engagement to enhance sourcing effectiveness.
Experience & skills
- Demonstrate at least 5 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or category management with proven track record in executing sourcing strategies.
- Show experience managing sourcing portfolios valued between $10–30 million or higher across multiple categories.
- Exhibit strong negotiation and contract management skills with experience working with legal teams and suppliers.
- Demonstrate strong stakeholder management capabilities with ability to engage senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Possess strong analytical skills including spend analysis, benchmarking, and financial evaluation for sourcing decisions.
- Demonstrate ability to work in a matrix organization and lead cross-functional sourcing initiatives.
- Show excellent communication skills in English, with Arabic language skills considered an advantage.
- Demonstrate change management capability, leadership skills, and ability to drive sourcing transformation initiatives.
