Key responsibilities
- Evaluate patients for endocrine disorders including diabetes, thyroid dysfunction, adrenal and pituitary conditions.
- Use medical history and diagnostic tools to assess hormonal and metabolic conditions.
- Prescribe and manage medications and hormone therapies.
- Discuss diagnoses and treatment options with patients and guide them on lifestyle and preventive care.
- Conduct follow-up appointments and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress.
- Support patients and their families in managing complex endocrine conditions.
- Collaborate with other specialists to ensure integrated chronic disease care.
- Conduct research and contribute to innovations in endocrinology treatment.
- Implement and assess chronic disease care plans, particularly for diabetic, cardiac, and respiratory conditions.
Experience & skills
- Valid DHA license or DHA eligibility as Specialist Endocrinologist.
- Fluency in English; Arabic preferred.
- Minimum 5+ years of specialist-level experience.
- MBBS or MBChB from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a recognized specialty qualification (per DHA, HAAD, or MOH UAE).
- Basic and Advanced Life Support certification.
- Proven expertise across a wide range of endocrine conditions.
- Patient-following or demonstrated ability to build one.
- Commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered care.
- Publications in peer-reviewed medical journals are a plus.
