Job description
The IT Manager & ERP Lead is responsible for overseeing the organization's IT infrastructure and leading ERP implementation and optimization initiatives within a dynamic oil & gas services environment. The role involves managing IT operations including networks, servers, systems, and security while ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability of IT systems. The position requires managing IT support services, resolving technical issues, maintaining IT policies, procedures, and system documentation, and leading ERP system implementation, upgrades, and enhancements. The role includes coordinating with stakeholders to gather business requirements and translating them into ERP system solutions, ensuring ERP system integration with other business applications, monitoring ERP performance, and troubleshooting system-related issues. The position drives digital transformation and system optimization by identifying opportunities to improve business processes through technology, driving automation and digital initiatives across departments, ensuring systems are aligned with business needs and scalability requirements, and evaluating and implementing new technologies to enhance operational efficiency. Responsibilities also include IT security and compliance management, ensuring data security, backup, and disaster recovery processes, maintaining compliance with IT governance and regulatory requirements, implementing cybersecurity measures, and conducting regular system audits and risk assessments. The role includes team leadership and vendor management responsibilities such as leading and managing the IT team, coordinating with external vendors, consultants, and service providers, managing IT budgets, procurement, and vendor contracts, and providing training and support to users on IT systems and ERP platforms. The position also requires reporting and stakeholder management, including preparing reports on IT performance, system usage, and project progress, collaborating with senior management to align IT strategy with business goals, providing technical guidance and recommendations to leadership, and ensuring effective communication between IT and other departments. The role requires 8–12 years of experience in IT management with strong exposure to ERP systems, proven experience in ERP implementation and system integration projects, and preferably experience in oil & gas, engineering, or project-based industries.

Key responsibilities
- Oversee and manage daily IT infrastructure and IT operations including networks, servers, systems, and security while ensuring high availability, reliability, performance optimization, proactive monitoring, and timely resolution of technical issues, as well as maintaining IT policies, procedures, and system documentation aligned with organizational standards and operational requirements
- Lead end-to-end ERP system implementation, upgrades, and enhancements by coordinating with business stakeholders to gather detailed business requirements, translating requirements into technical solutions, managing ERP system configuration, ensuring ERP system integration with business applications, and monitoring ERP performance while troubleshooting system-related issues
- Drive digital transformation initiatives across departments by identifying opportunities for automation, improving business processes through technology adoption, evaluating new digital solutions, ensuring system scalability, and implementing technologies that enhance operational efficiency and support long-term business objectives
- Establish and maintain IT security and compliance frameworks by implementing cybersecurity measures, ensuring data security protocols, managing backup processes, executing disaster recovery planning, maintaining compliance with IT governance and regulatory requirements, and conducting regular system audits and risk assessments
- Lead and manage the IT team by assigning tasks, monitoring performance, supporting professional development, ensuring adherence to operational procedures, and providing technical guidance while fostering collaboration across departments to support IT and ERP system utilization
- Coordinate with external vendors, consultants, and service providers by managing vendor relationships, evaluating service performance, negotiating vendor contracts, overseeing procurement processes, and ensuring cost-effective delivery of IT infrastructure and ERP services
- Manage IT budgets, procurement planning, and resource allocation by forecasting technology needs, controlling operational costs, approving IT purchases, and ensuring optimal utilization of IT infrastructure and ERP investments aligned with business strategy
- Prepare and present reports on IT performance, system usage, ERP project progress, and operational metrics while collaborating with senior management to align IT strategy with business goals, providing technical recommendations, and ensuring effective communication between IT and business stakeholders
Experience & skills
- Obtain a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field with 8–12 years of experience in IT management including hands-on experience managing IT infrastructure, IT operations, networks, servers, and enterprise systems within complex environments
- Demonstrate strong expertise in ERP systems including ERP implementation, ERP upgrades, ERP enhancements, and ERP system integration projects with proven experience translating business requirements into ERP solutions and managing system performance
- Possess experience in oil & gas services, engineering, or project-based industries with exposure to operational workflows, business process optimization, and enterprise technology environments supporting large-scale operations
- Exhibit strong knowledge of IT infrastructure components including networks, servers, system architecture, and enterprise applications while ensuring system availability, scalability, and operational reliability
- Demonstrate expertise in cybersecurity, data security, backup processes, disaster recovery planning, IT governance, system audits, and risk assessments to ensure regulatory compliance and protection of organizational systems
- Show proven experience in digital transformation initiatives including automation, technology evaluation, process improvement, and implementation of advanced IT solutions aligned with business strategy
- Demonstrate experience managing IT teams, vendor relationships, procurement processes, IT budgets, and service providers while ensuring effective delivery of IT and ERP services across departments
- Exhibit proven ability to collaborate with senior management, prepare technical reports, provide strategic recommendations, support ERP adoption, and ensure alignment between IT strategy and business objectives
