LV power distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, earthing and lightning protection, fire alarm, UPS and standby power systems all come off the drawing board of this electrical engineer in AESG's Dubai engineering team. Projects span the built environment across the Middle East, from concept and schematic design through detailed design, tender and construction. Calculations, load assessments and equipment sizing underpin every design. Single-line diagrams, schematics, detailed drawings and technical specifications follow, along with technical reports and design studies. ELV infrastructure and electrical containment need coordinating with the wider multidisciplinary design team. Revit and AutoCAD support BIM-enabled delivery, with Dialux EVO, ETAP, Amtech or Trimble and Navisworks used for analysis and coordination. Local UAE and GCC codes shape every package, and authority compliance is checked throughout. Client meetings, workshops and technical reviews put you in front of clients regularly, often across several projects at once. Three years in electrical building services design, an Electrical Engineering degree and membership of IET, CIBSE, IEEE or an equivalent body are required.
