Job description
The Social Media Manager will deliver on the company’s social media strategy aligned with communications and business objectives. The role involves managing end-to-end campaigns, proofreading and approving content, and ensuring adherence to brand guidelines. The position requires strong collaboration with agencies, stakeholders, and internal clients to support marketing and sales KPIs, maintain a social media calendar, manage procurement processes, and oversee crisis and risk management within the social spectrum. The manager will also monitor overall social media performance, implement improvements, and ensure consistent excellence in communication delivery.

Key responsibilities
- Deliver under the social media strategy in line with the company’s communication strategy and business objectives.
- Proofread, review and approve all written and visual content before final approval based on brand guidelines and tonality.
- Manage end-to-end campaigns for assigned segments or projects including budgeting, strategy, implementation, communication, launches and delivery.
- Work alongside the social media agency on strategy, guidelines and footprint.
- Initiate post-event debriefing and reports to share analysis, learning and improvement points with stakeholders.
- Monitor and track performance of social media presence and implement plans to improve outcomes.
- Manage operational tasks such as PRs, RFPs, payment follow-ups and updates.
- Be accountable for the social media agency from tender/RFP to delivery against SLAs.
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with internal and external partners and agencies.
- Work cross-functionally with peers to share best practices and develop shared opportunities.
- Create and maintain the social media calendar to support business objectives.
- Create agile conversations, content and activations to build brand loyalty.
- Develop personal skills and knowledge by anticipating demands and understanding strengths and weaknesses.
- Stay updated on social media trends and share within the department.
- Identify process gaps and propose improvements with internal clients and external partners.
- Ensure adherence to procurement PR/PO processes, including timely submissions and approvals.
- Manage crisis and risk within the social spectrum.
- Develop, maintain and enforce policies and guidelines for social media.
- Drive creative agencies to develop new vehicles for social media in alignment with creative and media agencies.
Experience & skills
- Minimum Bachelor’s in Mass Communications or related field.
- 5–8 years of work experience with at least 5 years in managerial/project manager role.
- Good understanding of business objectives, efficient communication and high organizational/project management skills.
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
- Confidence to inspire management at all levels.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in Arabic and English.
- Strong organizational and project management skills; project management certification preferred.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Ability to analyze and prepare post analysis reports linked to KPIs.
- Thorough knowledge of UAE culture and protocols.
- Leadership skills with ability to lead internal and external teams.
