Job description
The Finance Operations Manager at Omniyat oversees end-to-end finance operations across Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), Treasury, Audit, Tax, and Compliance. The role leads and mentors a team of AR, AP, and Treasury accountants to drive efficiency, accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement, including automation and professional development. Responsibilities include overseeing AP, AR, and GL activities; ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions in line with policies and controls; managing month-end and year-end closing activities and financial reconciliations; supervising treasury operations such as bank relationships, cash flow, liquidity, and reconciliations; supporting investment, funding, and escrow account activities where applicable; overseeing external and internal audit requirements with timely completion and no major findings; ensuring compliance with UAE tax regulations, VAT, and other statutory reporting obligations; maintaining financial policies, controls, and risk management practices aligned with governance standards; supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for the Executive Director – Finance; delivering clear reporting and insights to support decision-making; monitoring KPIs and variances and implementing corrective actions; acting as a key liaison between finance, operations, and senior management; and building strong relationships with external stakeholders, auditors, and regulatory authorities.

Key responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of AR, AP, and Treasury accountants to drive efficiency and accountability
- Oversee AP, AR, and GL activities, ensuring timely and accurate transaction processing aligned with policies and controls
- Manage month-end and year-end closing activities and perform comprehensive financial reconciliations
- Supervise treasury operations, including bank relationships, cash flow, liquidity management, and reconciliations
- Support investment, funding, and escrow account activities as required
- Coordinate external and internal audits to ensure timely completion with no major findings
- Ensure compliance with UAE tax regulations, VAT, and statutory reporting requirements
- Maintain and enhance financial policies, internal controls, and risk management practices in line with governance standards
- Support the Executive Director – Finance with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
- Produce clear financial reporting and insights, monitor KPIs and variances, and implement corrective actions
- Act as a liaison between finance, operations, and senior management to enable informed decision-making
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, auditors, and regulatory authorities
- Foster continuous improvement, automation initiatives, and professional development within the finance operations team
Experience & skills
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent (Chartered Accountant is mandatory)
- Bring 8–12 years of finance experience with 3–5 years in a managerial role and mandatory UAE experience
- Have Big 4 experience (must)
- Demonstrate a strong background in real estate finance operations in the UAE
- Show proven expertise across AP, AR, GL, Treasury, Audit, Tax, and Compliance
- Exhibit excellent leadership, people management, and communication skills
- Possess strong ERP and financial systems knowledge
