Job description
The Procurement Compliance and Strategy Specialist at ByteDance will be part of the Strategy and Compliance team, responsible for shaping and governing the global procurement compliance framework. This role focuses on developing and implementing global procurement policies, driving continuous improvement, and mitigating compliance risks across all procurement functions. The position requires close collaboration with category teams and regional stakeholders across finance, legal, and audit functions to enhance compliance performance and operational efficiency worldwide.

Key responsibilities
- Develop and establish global procurement policies.
- Drive continuous improvement and enhance implementation in category teams and regional teams.
- Identify and initiate optimisation opportunities throughout the procurement process.
- Lead change management initiatives with cross-functional partners including Finance, Legal and Internal Audit.
- Enhance implementation of policies via system upgrades and training programs.
- Review and provide guidance on compliance of procurement categories and regions.
- Regularly monitor procurement execution and set compliance/risk KPIs.
- Report policy deviations and execute actions to improve process compliance.
- Support internal audit projects and lead remediation plans for critical findings.
- Set up local procurement policies and processes tailored to regional business needs.
Experience & skills
- Experience in Supply Chain, Business or Operations Management.
- Experience in sourcing or business disciplines within large organizations such as IT, Automotive, Retail, or Consumer Goods.
- Foundational knowledge of procurement processes including PR-PO, TCO, supplier collaboration, and risk management.
- Global sourcing experience is a plus.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills for complex projects.
- Ability to work cross-functionally in global, multicultural teams.
- Track record of operating in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
- Strong corporate governance and compliance principles.
