Job description
The Architecture Advisor - Kuwait role operates within SAP’s Presales organization and is responsible for bridging the gap between customer business strategies and SAP enterprise solutions by defining business and solution architectures and driving cloud transformation initiatives. The Customer Advisory Architecture Advisor works closely with SAP Sales organizations and partner ecosystems to define account strategies, support customer cloud adoption, and craft enterprise-level transformation roadmaps. The role includes assessing current SAP solutions, identifying opportunities for accelerated adoption and consumption, and expanding the SAP footprint across customer environments. The Architecture Advisor engages across the Customer Value Journey, driving business and IT architecture alignment, supporting enterprise landscape assessments, and positioning standard cloud architectures leveraging SaaS, PaaS, and hosted services. The role requires development of architecture deliverables including business architecture, solution architecture, target state, and transformation roadmaps while ensuring IT feasibility and governance of evolving customer roadmaps. The Architecture Advisor also provides thought leadership, supports pipeline growth, collaborates with SAP product development leadership, and drives customer adoption of SAP cloud and hybrid architectures. This position requires deep expertise in enterprise architecture, cloud computing, SAP solutions, industry reference architectures, and transformation governance, with experience in TOGAF, SAPIEA-10, and enterprise architecture management tools considered advantageous.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Support assessment of current customer SAP solutions, identify opportunities for faster solution adoption and consumption, and drive expansion of SAP footprint by analyzing enterprise landscapes, business models, and transformation priorities.
- Engage with customers throughout the Customer Value Journey, collaborating with SAP sales teams, partners, and stakeholders to align business strategies with enterprise architecture and cloud transformation initiatives.
- Define and drive business and IT architecture definitions, ensuring consistency, alignment, and cooperation between SAP organizations, customer stakeholders, and partner ecosystems across enterprise transformation programs.
- Create SAP architecture vision deliverables including business architecture, solution architecture, target state architecture, and enterprise transformation roadmap aligned with customer objectives and cloud adoption strategies.
- Drive business capability mapping and translate business requirements into SAP solution architectures while ensuring technical feasibility and alignment with enterprise architecture standards.
- Support development of customer cloud and hybrid transformation roadmaps, including business process transformation, application modernization, and adoption of standard cloud architectures and SAP solutions.
- Act as trusted architecture advisor to customers, maintaining living roadmap governance, aligning adoption strategies, and supporting evolution of enterprise architecture based on business and technology changes.
- Provide thought leadership, support pipeline growth, collaborate with SAP product development leadership, and drive value-based solution expansion across the broader SAP portfolio.
Experience & skills
- Considerable experience within software or IT organizations in IT Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, Solution Management, Presales, Consulting, or Business Development roles with demonstrated success in customer transformation initiatives.
- Deep knowledge of cloud computing models including SaaS, PaaS, hosted services, and cloud-based commerce or business networks, with experience in enterprise cloud transformation programs.
- Proven experience acting as trusted advisor to enterprise customers, supporting business strategy alignment, architecture design, and technology adoption initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience developing enterprise architecture deliverables including business architecture, solution architecture, and transformation roadmaps for large organizations.
- Strong professional network within the market to drive pipeline, influence decision-makers, and support revenue growth initiatives for enterprise solutions.
- Proven leadership and project management experience with ability to collaborate across sales, presales, consulting, and partner ecosystems.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required, with MBA or equivalent degree from accredited university preferred.
- TOGAF or SAPIEA-10 certifications and experience with Enterprise Architecture Management (EAM) tools considered advantageous, along with fluency in English and additional language skills as an asset.
