Job description
The Senior Mechanical Integrity Consultant at Baker Hughes is a strategic role focused on delivering customized mechanical integrity solutions to clients across various industrial sectors. Based in Jebel Ali, Dubai, the position involves conducting in-depth assessments, leading client consulting projects, and enhancing mechanical integrity programs in alignment with regulatory standards and operational goals. The consultant will provide expertise in materials selection, corrosion mitigation, and asset reliability while supporting the development of internal tools and mentoring junior staff. This is a high-impact role for professionals who combine deep technical knowledge with strategic consulting experience.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to deliver tailored mechanical integrity solutions
- Conduct risk-based inspections, fitness-for-service evaluations, and failure analyses
- Develop and implement mechanical integrity programs aligned with client goals and regulatory requirements
- Provide technical advice on materials selection, corrosion control, and repair methodologies
- Collaborate with software teams to develop and improve mechanical integrity tools
- Deliver training workshops to clients and internal teams on best practices in mechanical integrity
- Mentor internal team members to enhance consulting quality and consistency
- Lead consulting projects from start to finish, ensuring on-time delivery and client satisfaction
- Stay informed about industry advancements to continuously improve service offerings
Experience & skills
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical integrity consulting or a related field
- Proficiency in Caesar II, PV Elite, and Compress software tools
- Strong understanding of ASME and API codes and standards
- Exceptional analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Experience in risk-based inspection, FFS evaluations, and corrosion management
- Project management experience with a proven track record of client satisfaction
- Relevant certifications such as API 510, 570, 571, 580 (highly desirable)
