Job description
The Architect Authority (AOR) is responsible for delivering UAE projects in full compliance with local regulations, BIM mandates, and green building certifications. The role encompasses oversight from project proposal through to Building Completion Certificate (BCC), managing authority approvals, preparing IFC-compliant BIM models, and ensuring adherence to Al Sa'fat, Dubai Green Building Regulations 2025, UAE Federal Law No. 11 of 2025, and other regulatory requirements. The AOR liaises with Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, and other UAE authorities, maintaining schedules using UAE Digital Government Strategy 2025 tools, conducting design reviews, site inspections, and authority meetings, and integrating AI/VR-enabled workflows for efficiency. The position also involves mentoring junior architects/engineers, contributing to company-wide initiatives such as Data Insights and authority process automation, and continuously updating knowledge on UAE regulations, BIM, and sustainability mandates.

Key responsibilities
- Oversee projects from proposal to Building Completion Certificate (BCC), ensuring compliance with 2025 UAE regulations
- Manage authority approvals and exception requests through digital submission portals across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, and other emirates
- Lead preparation and review of authority submissions, IFC-compliant BIM models, and green building certifications
- Track approvals and maintain project schedules using UAE Digital Government Strategy 2025 tools
- Conduct design reviews, site inspections, and authority meetings using AI/VR-enabled tools
- Support design teams through Concept, Schematic, Detailed Design, and Construction Documents phases while ensuring regulatory compliance
- Train and mentor junior architects/engineers on regulatory, BIM, and sustainability requirements
- Contribute to company-wide initiatives such as Data Insights, Lessons Learnt Database, and authority process automation
Experience & skills
- Bachelor of Architecture (B. Arch); preferred BIM certification, LEED, or Al Sa'fat accreditation
- Minimum 5 years of experience in UAE projects with BIM-mandated submissions and sustainability compliance
- Proven track record in authority liaison and approvals across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, and other emirates
- Advanced proficiency in Revit Architecture, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Adobe Suite, MS Office; familiarity with AI/VR design tools and sustainability assessment software
- In-depth knowledge of UAE authority regulations including Dubai Laws No. 6 & 7 of 2025, UAE Federal Law No. 11 of 2025, Al Sa'fat and Dubai Green Building Regulations 2025, and Decree No. 24 of 2021
- Valid UAE driving license for site visits
- Strong negotiation, decision-making, and project management skills
- Proactive, self-motivated, able to lead multiple projects simultaneously
- Analytical mindset, problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills with adaptability to AI/VR integration
