Job description
Chalhoub Group distributes and markets over 400 international names across the Middle East, and within that portfolio sit Lacoste and Guess, whose online business this manager runs from Dubai. Ownership of the online brand P&L comes first, with cost drivers examined closely to improve profitability. Annual strategy and budget are set together with the eCommerce General Manager and the Brand General Manager. From there, trading decisions on product, pricing and promotions shape how the site performs alongside Retail and e-Retail channels. Online merchandising takes a good share of the week, covering assortment, product categorization, tagging, search functionality and the content behind each listing. Traffic comes largely through performance marketing across PPC, Display, Social and Affiliate, and you adjust spend, creative and targeting as the data comes in. Web analytics and eCommerce dashboards keep KPIs visible and show where customer behaviour onsite can be improved. Product strategy and the product roadmap also fall to you, along with omnichannel initiatives run with central product and Retail teams. Third-party agencies, suppliers and internal teams are all part of the working relationships you manage.
