Job description
The Partnerships Manager is a product-adjacent leadership role responsible for managing and operationalizing integrations with banks and financial institutions to enable Leanās payment, open banking, and digital asset products. Based in Dubai, this role sits at the intersection of Product, Engineering, Compliance, Finance, and Operations, ensuring that financial institution partnerships are successfully onboarded, technically integrated, and operationally optimized. The Partnerships Manager owns the full lifecycle of bank partnerships, from requirements gathering and account opening to integration, testing, go-live coordination, and ongoing operational management. Unlike commercial partnership roles focused on revenue generation, this position emphasizes technical enablement, regulatory compliance alignment, and structured operational execution. The role requires navigating complex banking processes, managing cross-functional stakeholders, handling compliance documentation, and maintaining structured communication across multiple workstreams. As Lean continues to scale rapidly across the MENA region, this position plays a critical role in building and maintaining the infrastructure that powers payments, data, and lending solutions. The ideal candidate combines strong project management skills, fintech domain knowledge, regulatory awareness, and the ability to maintain clarity and organization in high-growth, fast-paced environments with evolving priorities.

Key responsibilities
- Act as the operational owner for assigned bank and financial institution relationships, ensuring smooth day-to-day coordination and long-term partnership stability.
- Manage the full bank partnership lifecycle, including requirements gathering, compliance onboarding, integration planning, testing, go-live coordination, and ongoing operational management.
- Drive multi-currency bank account opening processes, coordinating documentation and approvals with Legal, Compliance, Finance, and Treasury teams.
- Maintain and strengthen working relationships across bank stakeholders, including operations, compliance, and technical teams.
- Lead regular operational sync meetings with bank partners and internal cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and issue resolution.
- Own and maintain integration documentation, operational runbooks, escalation frameworks, and partnership knowledge repositories.
- Manage operational incidents and escalations, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication across stakeholders.
- Coordinate cross-functional workstreams between Product, Engineering, Compliance, Finance, and Operations teams to deliver structured integration outcomes.
- Develop and maintain shared project plans, dashboards, and integration timelines for internal visibility and leadership reporting.
- Prepare structured briefs, integration memos, and executive updates to support decision-making and strategic alignment.
- Identify operational gaps and partnership needs in collaboration with product and engineering teams.
- Support outreach and engagement with new financial institutions to enable product expansion and infrastructure growth.
- Monitor partnership performance metrics and continuously improve operational processes to enhance efficiency and scalability.
