Job description
The Social Events Sales Manager will lead the sales and execution of social events at Sofitel Riyadh Hotel & Convention Center. This role focuses on providing personalized, high-end experiences for guests while ensuring seamless coordination between internal departments and external partners. The manager is responsible for driving revenue, maintaining client satisfaction, and delivering events that align with the luxury standards of the hotel.

Key responsibilities
- Handle social events market including responding to inquiries and managing contracts
- Plan, coordinate, and manage internal and external social events of varying complexity
- Respond promptly to guest requests and follow up to ensure satisfaction within 24 hours
- Communicate event details clearly to clients and hotel departments through contracts, BEOs, and meetings
- Conduct site inspections with prospective clients and showcase hotel facilities
- Lead cross-functional coordination with Banquets, Culinary, Rooms, Sales, and external partners for flawless execution
- Attend hotel meetings and training sessions as required
- Manage wedding room blocks, meeting spaces, and other event logistics
- Anticipate and resolve guest concerns with professionalism and exceptional service
- Maintain accuracy and integrity of Opera Sales & Event Management (OSEM) system
- Create optimized floor plans for events to maximize guest experience
- Oversee event financials including billing accuracy, deposit schedules, minimum spends, and revenue opportunities
Experience & skills
- Minimum 2 yearsβ experience in Events/Wedding Sales Manager or similar hospitality role
- Degree or equivalent in Hospitality Management preferred
- Strong passion for weddings and social events with the ability to translate client visions into successful events
- Proficient in computer applications relevant to event management and sales
- Excellent client-facing, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional teams
- Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving abilities
- Flexible to work on weekends, holidays, and during peak event periods
- Attention to detail, creativity, and guest-centric mindset
- Understanding of event financials and ability to optimize revenue opportunities
- Knowledge of OSEM or similar event management systems is an advantage
