Job description
PwC Middle East is looking to hire a Senior Associate ā Tax Compliance & Audit as part of the Internal Firm Services (IFS) Finance team. This role is key in ensuring robust tax compliance across the ME region, including the preparation and review of corporate income tax, VAT, and withholding tax filings. The role will require close collaboration with local finance teams, external auditors, and tax authorities, and will provide strategic support to the broader OneFinance function in managing tax risks and optimizing compliance.

Key responsibilities
- Prepare and review corporate income tax, VAT, and WHT returns for PwC ME entities
- Ensure timely submission of all required tax filings in compliance with jurisdictional regulations
- Reconcile tax provisions with statutory accounts and validate accounting entries related to taxation
- Support internal and external audits by providing tax-related documentation and input
- Identify and flag potential risks and tax optimization opportunities to the Compliance & Audit Lead
- Collaborate with regional tax and finance teams to ensure alignment with policy and regulatory requirements
- Prepare analysis reports, ad hoc tax reconciliations, and maintain accurate tax documentation
- Support transaction reviews and guide OneFinance transactions to manage tax liabilities effectively
- Participate in the review and refinement of internal tax policies and procedures
- Assist in the coordination and delivery of internal tax training sessions for relevant teams
Experience & skills
- Bachelorās degree in Accounting, Finance, Law or a related field
- 2ā4 years of experience in tax compliance and audit, preferably within a Big Four or multinational firm
- Hands-on experience with corporate tax, WHT, VAT, and payroll taxes
- Knowledge of Middle East tax regulations is essential
- Fluency in English and Arabic (written and spoken)
- Strong analytical and quantitative abilities, including Excel modelling
- Familiarity with international accounting standards and tax compliance procedures
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
- Ethical mindset with attention to detail and high levels of integrity
