Job description
The Capacity Planning Program Manager for Amazon Now (1P UltraFast Quick Commerce) is responsible for driving both short-term operational execution and long-term strategic capacity planning for a network of darkstores within Amazon’s fulfillment and supply chain ecosystem. The role focuses on ensuring optimal storage capacity utilization across fulfillment centers (FCs), aligning available capacity with projected demand, and supporting scalable network expansion initiatives. The position requires ownership of capacity planning metrics reporting, data aggregation from multiple systems, and analytical evaluation to generate actionable insights and execution plans. The role involves identifying capacity gaps, forecasting storage constraints, and developing innovative storage optimization solutions to support rapid fulfillment operations. The program manager ensures operational compliance by auditing fulfillment sites, enforcing capacity planning standards, and maintaining accuracy in system-based capacity configurations using tools such as ACMS. The role collaborates closely with engineering design teams and FC launch project teams to ensure facility designs align with operational requirements. It also supports execution of network optimization initiatives such as bin slotting changes and topology enhancements. The position plays a key role in coordinating cross-functional stakeholders across business, technology, design, procurement, and construction to ensure seamless supply chain expansion. The role requires strong analytical capability, project ownership, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while contributing to both tactical operations and long-term supply chain strategy development.
