The Offshore Methods / Installation Engineer (Expert/Senior) supports Saipemās offshore engineering and construction activities within major energy and infrastructure projects, both offshore and onshore, with particular reference to shallow water activities including S-Lay, Jacket installation, Deck installation, Cables installation, and Structures installation. Operating within a global organization structured across Asset Based Services, Drilling, Energy Carriers, Offshore Wind, Sustainable Infrastructures, and Robotics & Industrialized Solutions, the role contributes to Engineering for a sustainable future, supporting energy transition and Net Zero objectives through increasingly digital means, technologies, and processes focused on environmental sustainability. The engineer is responsible for preparing complete engineering Installation package documentation including installation procedures, rigging drawing, check list dossier, trial lift procedures, and load out procedures, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance with main offshore T&I codes such as DNV and API. The position requires close interface management with the Installation analysis team including naval engineering, structural engineering, and pipelay analysis engineering disciplines, providing input and deeply reviewing analysis and design report outputs. The role follows up the operation phase covering temporary items material procurement, vessel mobilization, subcontractors contract(s), and provides onshore & offshore operation technical assist (project side) to the vessel management team during mobilization, testing, and installation phase. The engineer also manages and mentors a team of young engineers (method / ops eng) and draftsman for preparation of Installation documents, ensuring alignment with project requirements and offshore execution constraints. The position requires strong knowledge of Office package including Microsoft Project and proven experience in Installation engineering with operation follow up and offshore & yard experiences, operating in challenging offshore environments where safety, health, and preservation of the natural ecosystem are critical priorities.

- Prepare complete engineering Installation package including installation procedures, rigging drawing, check list dossier, trial lift procedures, and load out procedures for offshore projects.
- Coordinate and follow up all interfaces with Installation analysis team including naval engineering, structural engineering, and pipelay analysis engineering disciplines, providing input and deeply reviewing analysis and design report documentation.
- Follow up operation phase activities including temporary items material procurement, vessel mobilization, and subcontractors contract(s) management.
- Provide onshore & offshore operation technical assist to the project-side vessel management team during mobilization, testing, and installation phase.
- Manage and supervise a team of young engineers (method / ops eng) and draftsman for preparation and issuance of Installation documents.
- Ensure compliance with main offshore T&I codes and standards such as DNV and API in all Installation engineering deliverables.
- Support shallow water installation activities including S-Lay, Jacket installation, Deck installation, Cables installation, and Structures installation.
- Monitor installation engineering activities during offshore & yard experiences ensuring alignment with approved procedures and project objectives.
Experience & skills
- Obtain a Masterās degree in Mechanical/Civil (preferable) or other Engineering degree.
- Demonstrate minimum 5-10 years of experience in Installation engineering including operation follow up and offshore & yard experiences.
- Demonstrate proven experience in Offshore Transportation and Installation for shallow water activities such as S-Lay, Jacket, Deck, Cables, and Structures installation.
- Demonstrate ability to prepare installation procedures, rigging drawing, check list dossier, trial lift procedures, and load out procedures.
- Demonstrate experience interfacing with installation analysis team including naval engineering, structural engineering, and pipelay analysis engineering disciplines and reviewing analysis and design report documentation.
- Demonstrate knowledge of Office package including Microsoft Project.
- Demonstrate good knowledge of main offshore T&I codes and standards such as DNV and API.
- Demonstrate experience supporting vessel mobilization, subcontractors contract(s), and offshore installation phase technical assistance.
