Job description
BEEAH is hiring a Specialist - Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA) to lead environmental and risk assessments across infrastructure, industrial, and energy projects. The role focuses on executing high-quality QRAs using tools like DNV PHAST and SAFETI, alongside delivering Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA/ESIA) and Compliance Environmental Management Plans (CEMPs). The specialist will play a dual role, contributing both to technical analysis and business development by identifying new opportunities and managing proposals. Coordination with stakeholders and maintaining regulatory compliance are integral, making this a critical position for BEEAH’s safety, sustainability, and growth agenda.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Conduct quantitative risk assessments (QRAs) for process plants, pipelines, and offshore facilities.
- Prepare Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs), Strategic Environmental Assessments (ESIAs), and Environmental Management Plans (CEMPs).
- Utilize DNV PHAST and SAFETI for hazard modeling and risk analysis.
- Prepare detailed environmental and risk assessment reports with actionable recommendations.
- Deliver environmental consultancy services in line with licensing and regulatory requirements.
- Support proposal preparation and manage multidisciplinary tenders.
- Identify new business opportunities and support QRA service promotion through sales activities.
- Coordinate with government agencies, communities, and developers to address environmental concerns and secure approvals.
- Design and implement environmental monitoring programs.
- Independently manage tasks and ensure timely delivery of project requirements.
- Stay updated on best practices, regulations, and new technologies in environmental and risk assessment fields.
Experience & skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience with DNV PHAST and SAFETI software.
- Experience in delivering EIAs, ESIAs, and CEMPs across diverse sectors.
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental or Chemical Engineering; Master’s preferred.
- Experience with additional modeling software (e.g., AERMOD, SoundPLAN, MIKE 21) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of environmental impact methodologies and risk mitigation strategies.
- Proven business development and proposal preparation experience.
- Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills.
- Strong project management and problem-solving capabilities.
