Job description
Based in Riyadh, the Account Manager - Security Portfolio (KSA) role at Thales is accountable for growing order intake for the Security business in Saudi Arabia by shaping and executing a commercial approach across the security market, prioritizing and managing security-related accounts, and representing the full Thales security solutions portfolio to clients and stakeholders. Operating within a company present in KSA for 40 years and active across aerospace, transportation, defence, security and space, the role builds Account Plans aligned with customer stakes, expectations and vision; supports customer business with Thales offerings; monitors competitor performance; and identifies strategic initiatives to drive growth beyond business-as-usual. The position manages internal and external stakeholders, orchestrates and aligns the account team, supports Sales actions to close order intake, shares and drives Account Plan execution with involved Business Lines (BLs) and Global Business Units (GBUs), updates Group CRM data, informs account steering about customer satisfaction issues, and supports development of customer satisfaction measurement within the account. The remit includes defining effective go-to-market strategies, establishing strategic partnerships, building and strengthening customer relationships based on partnership, and promoting the entire Thales security solution portfolio across the KSA security domain, with a proven focus on winning complex deals in the local market. The environment requires senior executive-level experience in the KSA security market, an Engineering Degree or MSc. Eng. (business degree a plus), and fluency in Arabic as a strong advantage.

Key responsibilities
- Grow Thales Security order intake in KSA by defining and executing effective commercial approaches and go-to-market strategies aligned to quantitative objectives.
- Prioritize and manage security-related accounts, representing and promoting the full Thales security solutions portfolio to clients and stakeholders.
- Build comprehensive Account Plans that align strategy with customer stakes, expectations and vision, and support customer business with Thales offerings.
- Monitor competitor performance with the customer and identify strategic initiatives to generate growth beyond business as usual.
- Build and strengthen customer relationships based on partnership, working closely with Account Marketing on action plans.
- Orchestrate and align the account team, managing internal and external stakeholders to support all actions required to close order intake.
- Share Account Plans with involved BLs and GBUs and facilitate execution of related action plans, ensuring progress is captured in Group CRM.
- Update Group CRM data regularly and inform the account team and steering committee of customer satisfaction issues.
- Support the development and implementation of customer satisfaction measurement within the account to drive continuous improvement.
- Shape and establish relevant strategic partnerships in the KSA security market to enhance market access and solution delivery.
Experience & skills
- Bring 15+ years of total work experience with at least 10+ years of strong, direct experience in the KSA security market as a senior executive.
- Demonstrate a proven track record of winning complex deals in the KSA security domain.
- Hold an Engineering Degree or MSc. Eng.; an additional business degree is a plus.
- Possess fluency in Arabic (strong plus) alongside effective communication and presentation capabilities.
- Exhibit expertise in account planning, go-to-market strategy, strategic partnerships, stakeholder management and CRM-driven account governance.
- Show ability to orchestrate cross-functional teams (BLs/GBUs), manage pipelines to order intake, and monitor competitor performance at the account level.
- Demonstrate strong negotiation, persuasion and relationship-building skills to support sales closure and growth beyond business-as-usual.
