Job description
The Business Manager is a combination of business development and partnership management role that requires in-depth understanding of partnership lifecycle management, expertise in contract management and negotiations, and exceptional client management and influencing skills. At Amazon Payments, this role will be responsible for identifying, onboarding, and managing partners while making the partner’s voice heard within the organization. The role involves engagement with all levels up to C-level in partner organizations and will be based in Riyadh, KSA.

Key responsibilities
- Proactively manage working relationships with existing partners including banks, card schemes, Alternative Payment Methods, and Third Party Providers.
- Maintain and enhance Amazon Payments standard operating procedures with partners.
- Follow up and resolve day-to-day operational and business escalations.
- Negotiate preferential commercial terms and improve cost of payment with partners.
- Explore, evaluate, and establish new partner channels and alliances as requested by product and business teams.
- Liaise with product, operation, and business teams to enhance user experience with technical providers and financial institutions.
- Boost merchant KYC, banking requirements, onboarding process, and turnaround time.
- Set up and conduct workshops and training sessions with associated partners.
- Collaborate with legal teams to optimize partnership agreements and reduce barriers caused by lengthy negotiations.
- Sign up, train, and certify third-party technical providers to support enterprise merchant integrations.
- Initiate regular reviews with partner channels.
- Propose automation procedures, customizable solutions, and substitutes for manual processes.
Experience & skills
- 3+ years of business development, partnership management, or sourcing new business experience.
- 3+ years of developing, negotiating, and executing business agreements experience.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software.
- Experience in setting up and managing a sales pipeline.
- Excellent Arabic and English communication skills.
- Preferred: Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations.
- Preferred: Experience in online advertising or high-tech products/services.
- Domain expertise in online payments, preferably with card networks, acquiring banks, or payment service providers.
- Strong ability to negotiate and manage contracts in the payments ecosystem.
