Job description
Mashreq Bank is seeking an Assistant Manager β Regulatory Reporting (UAE National) to oversee the accurate preparation and timely submission of regulatory reports for UAE operations and subsidiaries. This role ensures compliance with Central Bank of UAE (CBUAE) and Securities & Commodities Authority (SCA) guidelines, while driving process improvements and automation initiatives within regulatory reporting.

Key responsibilities
- Prepare and submit accurate regulatory reports for Mashreq UAE operations and subsidiaries in compliance with Central Bank and SCA requirements
- Prepare GDL and Cash Reserve returns and advise relevant entries for Mashreq Bank UAE
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, validate, and reconcile data to ensure reporting accuracy
- Identify and resolve data issues with relevant departments and stakeholders
- Monitor changes in regulatory requirements and implement necessary updates to reporting processes
- Drive automation and efficiency improvements in reporting processes in collaboration with Technology teams
- Support audits and compliance assessments through accurate documentation and timely responses
- Ensure all reporting activities meet required timelines and standards of quality
Experience & skills
- Bachelorβs degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3 to 5 yearsβ experience in accounting, finance, or regulatory reporting within banking or financial institutions
- Strong analytical mindset and meticulous attention to detail
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools
- Ability to communicate complex regulatory concepts clearly and effectively
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
- Experience with banking systems such as Flexcube or equivalent
- Understanding of Central Bank UAE regulations and reporting requirements
