Job description
The Senior Technician – SCADA role at Bahrain Airport Company is a technical position within the Technical Division, supporting airport operations through real-time monitoring, analysis, and maintenance of SCADA systems that manage critical airport electrical and control infrastructure. Based at the Bahrain Headquarters within the Bahrain Hub, the role is responsible for ensuring the smooth and reliable operation of airport facilities by monitoring Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, identifying anomalies, and supporting high-voltage electrical operations. The position involves reporting technical issues to IBM HV Engineers and providing hands-on technical expertise to support HV switching activities and related troubleshooting. The role includes analyzing SCADA system data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and potential system risks, as well as generating detailed reports on system performance, incidents, and maintenance activities for management review. The Senior Technician collaborates closely with engineering teams, IT, the Engineering Control Center, and other departments to coordinate system installations, upgrades, repairs, and major maintenance activities. A strong emphasis is placed on compliance with aviation safety standards, electrical regulations, airport safety protocols, and the organization’s Safety Management System. The role actively supports risk management, compliance, and business continuity by participating in safety drills, emergency response exercises, evacuation drills, and business continuity tests. The position requires continuous improvement efforts, staying up to date with advancements in SCADA technology and airport operations, and fostering a culture of safety, transparency, accountability, and compliance across all assigned responsibilities.
