Job description
Client teams across EY's MENA Tax and Law practice turn to Tax Quality (TQ) whenever a procedural, policy, compliance or risk question comes up, and this Manager role, based in Dubai or Abu Dhabi, is one of the people they reach. The team is small and experienced, working closely with the General Counsel's Office, Risk Management and Global Tax Quality. Client and engagement acceptance assessments come to you for review, and contracts are checked from a risk perspective, sometimes with your involvement in negotiation. Policies and guidance are reviewed periodically, and new guidance is written where concerns arise. Processes and protocols for quality and risk management are designed and refined here, often with technology and AI in mind. Training for the business is curated and delivered by the team, and change initiatives need guiding through. Short and long-term projects run alongside the core work. Candidates need a university degree or professional qualification in legal or risk-management disciplines and 7+ years in quality, legal, compliance, risk management or internal audit, with good English and confidence learning new systems. Arabic, Power BI experience and awareness of the regulatory environment are a plus.
