Job description
Based at The Offices 5 at One Central, Dubai, the Forensic Accountant - Senior Consultant role requires thorough knowledge and understanding of forensic service offerings within an independent accounting firm context, ensuring compliance with KPMG global and local risk management procedures during day-to-day operations and forensic assignments. The position independently handles small to medium-sized assignments; participates in client meetings to understand objectives and scope; assists with business development activities; drafts relevant sections or complete forensic reports depending on the nature of the assignment; and builds knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and related forensic tools/software such as i2 Analystâs Notebook. The role involves staying updated on internal and external forensic materials (including newspapers and professional magazines) and continuously developing skills in fraud investigation, anti-bribery & corruption, fraud risk assessment, and dispute advisory services. Responsibilities include coaching less experienced staff on risk management procedures, providing technical guidance, assignment support, and documentation; reporting to performance managers/team leaders on day-to-day activities; identifying business opportunities; planning tasks effectively; monitoring project progress against deadlines and budgets; maintaining relationships in difficult situations; applying analytical techniques to assess issues; suggesting innovative solutions; and upholding KPMG values, standards, and practices.

Key responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with KPMG global and local risk management procedures across day-to-day operations and forensic assignments
- Independently manage small to medium-sized forensic engagements from planning through reporting
- Participate in client meetings to clarify objectives and scope, and assist in preparing proposals and terms of reference
- Draft relevant sections or complete forensic reports tailored to the assignment requirements
- Contribute to business development activities through opportunity identification and proposal support
- Build and apply proficiency in Microsoft Office and forensic tools such as i2 Analystâs Notebook to support analyses
- Stay current with internal and external forensic materials to inform methodologies and insights
- Develop capabilities across fraud investigation, anti-bribery & corruption, fraud risk assessment, and dispute advisory services
- Coach junior team members on risk procedures, technical approaches, assignment execution, and documentation standards
- Report regularly to the performance manager or team leader on assignment status and daily activities
- Plan tasks effectively and monitor project progress against deadlines and budgets to ensure timely delivery
- Apply analytical techniques to assess issues and recommend innovative, defensible solutions for clients
Experience & skills
- Strong forensic background with experience in related fields (accounting, law enforcement, forensic technology, or legal experience preferred)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including proposal and report writing and presentations
- Fluent in English (verbal and written) and Arabic (verbal and written)
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal guidance while taking accountability for deliverables
- Demonstrated capability to identify business opportunities and support manager/partner engagement
- Proven ability to coach others, share knowledge, and adapt behavior to different situations
- Effective relationship management, even in challenging contexts, aligned to KPMG values and standards
- Competence in planning, task management, and monitoring progress against deadlines and budgets
- Bachelor's Degree
