Job description
The Assistant Vice President ā Talent Acquisition role within the People & Intellectual Capital Group is responsible for executing and leading the recruitment strategy across UAE, MGN, and overseas markets to meet the manpower requirements of various divisions within the bank. The role involves proactively sourcing and attracting talent at multiple levels, ensuring that recruitment needsāboth immediate and futureāare efficiently met through structured and sustainable hiring practices. The incumbent is responsible for designing and implementing cost-effective recruitment strategies tailored to business units, leveraging both internal e-recruitment infrastructure and external sourcing channels. The role requires identifying, screening, and interviewing candidates, organizing and executing assessment centers, and ensuring that only qualified, diverse, and culturally aligned candidates are presented to business stakeholders. A critical aspect of the role includes negotiating salary, grade, and benefits packages while balancing internal equity and market competitiveness. The position also supports Emiratisation initiatives by ensuring strong representation of UAE Nationals in hiring pipelines and recruitment outcomes. The role involves evaluating recruitment markets, engaging global staffing agencies, and building a strong talent database to support long-term workforce planning. Additionally, the position ensures compliance with due diligence requirements such as reference checks, UAEPNG screening, and other background verification procedures. The role also emphasizes employer branding, promoting the organization as an employer of choice, and continuously improving recruitment processes through innovation, digitization, and lean methodology. The Assistant VP is expected to create and monitor recruitment KPIs, lead strategic workforce initiatives, and ensure alignment between business needs and talent acquisition outcomes.

- Execute end-to-end recruitment strategy by sourcing, attracting, and hiring talent across UAE, MGN, and international markets to meet workforce requirements of multiple business divisions
- Design and implement efficient, sustainable, and cost-effective talent acquisition strategies aligned with organizational workforce planning and hiring demands
- Partner with business units and divisions to identify current and future manpower requirements and ensure timely fulfillment of recruitment needs across all levels
- Source, screen, and evaluate candidates using multiple channels including e-recruitment systems, external job platforms, and global recruitment networks to build strong talent pipelines
- Conduct structured interviews and coordinate assessment centers to evaluate candidate suitability, ensuring alignment with job requirements and organizational culture
- Negotiate salary packages, job grades, and benefits with candidates while maintaining internal equity and ensuring competitive market positioning
- Develop and maintain active candidate databases and talent pools to support future hiring needs and improve time-to-fill efficiency
- Lead employer branding initiatives to position the organization as a preferred employer in the banking and financial services sector
- Support Emiratisation programs by attracting, hiring, and developing UAE National talent in line with organizational and regulatory objectives
- Ensure compliance with pre-employment due diligence processes including reference checks, UAEPNG verification, and other background screening requirements
Experience & skills
- Possess a minimum of 12+ years of experience in recruitment and human resources across both operational and strategic talent acquisition functions
- Hold a professional qualification or relevant graduate management degree in human resources, business administration, or related field
- Demonstrate strong expertise in talent acquisition strategies, recruitment lifecycle management, and workforce planning within large organizations
- Exhibit strong knowledge of digital recruitment tools, HR technologies, and e-recruitment platforms used for sourcing and candidate management
- Show proven experience in candidate assessment, interview evaluation, and selection processes including assessment centers and structured interviews
- Demonstrate strong negotiation skills for compensation, salary structuring, and job offer finalization while balancing internal equity and market competitiveness
- Possess working knowledge of UAE labor law, immigration regulations, and compliance requirements related to hiring and onboarding
- Exhibit strong leadership, analytical, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across business units and senior leadership
- Demonstrate experience in employer branding, recruitment marketing, and building organizational reputation as an employer of choice
- Show ability to manage recruitment KPIs, implement lean recruitment methodologies, and deliver innovative hiring solutions in a fast-paced environment
