Job description
The role serves as the analytical backbone for Chalhoub Groupās Property Management department, supporting the Retail Property Development team through analytical, reporting, and strategic insight capabilities. Responsibilities span designing, building, and maintaining dashboards and automated reports to track KPIs related to store openings, lease performance, occupancy cost ratios, and development timelines; ensuring accurate and timely data capture across leasing, finance, and operations; producing data-driven insights on performance trends; developing forecasting and scenario models to assess market and financial impacts; and presenting insights through storytelling dashboards and presentations. Financial duties include supporting modelling and business cases for new developments and renovations, assessing CAPEX, rent levels, build-out costs, expected ROI, identifying cost-saving opportunities through comparative analytics and benchmarking, aligning project budgets and forecasts with Finance, and tracking occupancy cost ratios, lease terms, and profitability metrics. The role also includes partnering with Market Intelligence and Country Management teams to integrate consumer behaviour, retail format trends, and mall traffic insights into store placement strategies. Data responsibilities include managing and enhancing department databases, maintaining data taxonomies and metadata structures, automating data validation and reporting, and promoting data-driven practices. Innovation responsibilities include exploring and implementing AI-driven tools and predictive analytics for rent prediction, site scoring, automation of reporting and analysis, partnering with Digital/Data Science teams to develop analytical models for site selection and lease optimisation, and monitoring emerging proptech and retail analytics trends. The position requires cross-functional collaboration with Property Development, Finance, Accounting, Leasing, Marketing, and Operations to ensure alignment between project objectives, financial constraints, and strategic goals.

- Design, build, and maintain dashboards and automated reports to track KPIs related to store openings, lease performance, occupancy cost ratios, and project timelines
- Partner with leasing, finance, and operations teams to ensure accurate and timely data capture for property and project metrics
- Provide data-driven insights on performance trends, highlighting risks, opportunities, and recommendations for improvement
- Develop forecasting and scenario models to assess the impact of various market and financial conditions on property decisions
- Present insights through visual, concise, and storytelling dashboards and presentations to Leadership and senior stakeholders
- Support financial modelling and business cases for new developments and renovations by evaluating CAPEX, rent levels, build-out costs, and expected ROI
- Identify cost-saving opportunities across leases, construction, and operations via comparative analytics and benchmarking
- Collaborate with Finance to align project budgets, forecasts, and actual spend while providing variance analysis and insights
- Track and report occupancy cost ratios, lease terms, and profitability metrics to drive portfolio optimisation
- Partner with Market Intelligence and Country Management teams to align property decisions with brand and consumer trends
- Provide insights on consumer behaviour, retail format trends, and mall traffic patterns to inform store placement and format strategies
- Translate marketing intelligence into actionable inputs for property-development projects
- Oversee and enhance the department database, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and usability
- Develop and maintain data taxonomies and metadata supporting cross-functional integration
- Use advanced analytics tools to automate data validation, reporting, and performance tracking processes
- Promote data quality and analysis best practices within the Property Development team
- Explore and implement AI-driven tools and predictive analytics to enhance forecasting accuracy and site performance scoring
- Identify automation opportunities through AI and machine learning applications for reporting and analysis
Experience & skills
- Hold a finance degree
- Possess 3 to 8 years of experience in real estate, leasing, or finance within a retail company
- Preferably speak Arabic
- Demonstrate hands-on experience in project management, data management, and analysis
- Show proactive, adaptable, and solution-oriented behaviour with strong interpersonal skills
- Hold advanced Excel capabilities including financial modelling and scenario analysis
- Possess practical experience with data-visualisation tools such as Power BI and Tableau
