Job description
The Senior Proficient - Data and Analytics at Omantel is responsible for supporting the development and execution of data and analytics strategies to enhance business performance within the Consumer Business Unit. This position plays a critical role in building analytical models, managing data pipelines, and producing actionable insights to drive growth, customer retention, and operational efficiency. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to align analytics initiatives with business goals, implementing governance frameworks, and ensuring data integrity across reporting systems. The incumbent is expected to design and maintain dashboards for data visualization, forecast performance trends, and provide data-driven recommendations to stakeholders. Additional duties include supporting change initiatives for new analytics tools or methodologies, developing predictive models, monitoring KPIs and performance metrics, and resolving data quality issues. The position also requires contributing to process optimization, coordinating with vendors for system integrations, and training internal teams on data methodologies and tools. The Senior Proficient serves as the single source of truth for data reporting and insights across consumer portfolios, customer value management (CVM), and retention analysis.

- Contribute to the creation and management of data governance frameworks to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Recommend process improvements to strengthen data operations and analytics efficiency.
- Prepare reports and insights for management and key stakeholders to support decision-making.
- Provide support and training to team members on data analytics tools and methodologies.
- Collaborate with vendors and partners to facilitate data integration and ensure data consistency.
- Assist in implementing change management initiatives involving new analytical tools or strategies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues to maintain high-quality analytics delivery.
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Physics, Operational Research, or Marketing.
- 8–10 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or related domains.
- Strong background in data analytics and big data analytics.
- Experience in developing forecasting and predictive models.
- Proficiency in managing data pipelines, dashboards, and reporting tools.
- Knowledge of data governance and KPI tracking frameworks.
- Ability to analyze data trends and generate actionable business insights.
- Experience with business performance monitoring and growth analysis.
- Strong understanding of data visualization tools and methodologies.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
