Commercial, hospitality, residential, cultural, healthcare, education, aviation and large mixed-use buildings make up the kind of portfolio this Senior Electrical Engineer works on in Buro Happold's Riyadh Buildings team. Electrical design runs from concept and feasibility through schematic, detailed design, tender, construction support and handover. LV power distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, small power, earthing and lightning protection, standby power, UPS and ELV/ICT interfaces all fall within scope. Calculations, reports, specifications, drawings and schedules are produced and reviewed by you. Mechanical, public health, sustainability, structures, fire, façade, lighting and digital teams are close collaborators, and interfaces get resolved early. Saudi Arabian, regional and international codes and authority requirements guide every decision, alongside energy-saving options and lifecycle value. Graduate and junior engineers rely on your guidance and mentoring. During construction, contractor submittals, shop drawings and technical queries come to you for review. Candidates bring a degree in Electrical Engineering, significant consultancy experience in electrical building services and proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD and electrical calculation software, with chartership progress desirable.
