Job description
The Manager - Fleet Maintenance at Red Sea Global is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and operational readiness of the contracted bus fleet. This includes ensuring preventive maintenance and servicing are conducted on schedule, contractor performance is effectively managed and audited, and that all fleet operations align with company and regulatory standards. The role requires close coordination with operations, procurement, and finance departments to ensure cost-effective execution of maintenance activities, fleet availability, and compliance with safety and environmental standards. The manager is expected to track key performance indicators, prepare detailed maintenance reports, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. The position demands a background in mechanical or automotive engineering, with 5ā8 years of relevant experience in fleet maintenance or vehicle operations, ideally in public transport or large-scale fleet settings.

Key responsibilities
- Oversee and manage maintenance contracts with service providers to ensure compliance with terms and conditions
- Monitor fleet availability, service schedules, downtime, and repairs to minimize operational disruptions
- Conduct regular audits of contractor maintenance activities for adherence to standards and regulations
- Ensure timely completion of preventive and corrective maintenance as per guidelines and policies
- Track and analyze KPIs related to fleet maintenance and contractor performance
- Monitor and optimize maintenance costs by identifying cost-saving opportunities
- Coordinate with operations, procurement, and finance teams to ensure maintenance activities align with budgets
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental guidelines, and RSG operational standards
- Prepare and present periodic reports on fleet maintenance and contractor performance
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives for maintenance processes and fleet reliability
Experience & skills
- Hold a bachelorās degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field
- Have 5ā8 years of experience in fleet maintenance, vehicle operations, or related roles
- Possess experience in public transport or large-scale fleet management
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of contract management and vendor performance evaluation
- Have auditing and compliance experience in maintenance settings
- Show knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and industry safety standards
- Exhibit strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Display strong leadership and communication abilities
- Be proficient in fleet management software and reporting tools
