Job description
The Manager – Payments Technology role is responsible for leading and managing the bank’s critical payments processing platforms, with a primary focus on Instant Payment Platforms. The position oversees end-to-end development, deployment, and migration activities to ensure seamless platform transitions and sustained operational excellence. The role manages environment setup and validation across UAT, pre-production, and production, develops detailed migration playbooks, timelines, and contingency plans, and ensures platform readiness through dry runs and data masking. The role provides functional and technical oversight of payment workflow mapping, Oracle Banking Platform module configuration, and validation of customizations against compliance requirements and legacy system specifications. Acting as a central point of coordination, the role engages business, operations, compliance, technology, and vendor teams, drives UAT planning and execution, supports country-specific workshops, and ensures successful business sign-off for payment platform transitions.

- Oversee transition and migration of payments processing platforms with a focus on instant payment solutions
- Manage environment setup and validation across UAT, pre-production, and production environments
- Develop migration playbooks, timelines, cutover strategies, and contingency plans
- Ensure platform readiness through dry-run execution and data masking activities
- Lead payment workflow mapping and migration from legacy to modern platforms
- Collaborate on Oracle Banking Platform module configuration tailored to bank-specific requirements
- Review and validate system customizations for regulatory and compliance alignment
- Act as the primary point of contact for migration-related queries across stakeholders
- Drive UAT planning, execution, defect resolution, and business sign-off
- Engage business, operations, and compliance teams for requirements gathering and workshops
Experience & skills
- Demonstrate strong domain knowledge in instant payments, UAE local payment systems, and ISO 20022 standards
- Exhibit experience designing and validating end-to-end payment solutions including gap analysis and legacy migrations
- Maintain familiarity with Oracle Banking Platform modules and customization approaches
- Demonstrate working knowledge of Java, UI technologies, microservices architecture, and DevOps practices
- Exhibit experience managing environment setup, migration planning, dry runs, and cutover coordination
- Demonstrate strong stakeholder management, communication, and leadership capabilities
