Job description
The Demand Manager at Etihad Airways in Abu Dhabi is responsible for driving network revenue optimization through advanced demand forecasting, revenue analysis, and strategic pricing support aligned with the airline’s PRASK (Passenger Revenue per Available Seat Kilometre) targets. The role focuses on analyzing demand patterns across multiple dimensions such as cabin class, time of departure, day of week, origin, and destination, with particular attention to peak periods and special events that influence passenger behavior and revenue performance. The Demand Manager works closely with cross-functional commercial teams including Network Planning, Sales, Marketing, E-commerce, Loyalty, and Alliances to ensure cohesive revenue strategies across the airline. The role leverages airline revenue management systems such as PROS, GDS platforms, MIDT data sources, and management accounting reports to support data-driven decision-making. It also requires continuous monitoring of competitor pricing, market trends, and performance metrics to identify revenue opportunities and risks. The Demand Manager plays a key role in refining forecasting models, validating system outputs, and ensuring accuracy of Origin and Destination data to improve network optimization and revenue outcomes. The position contributes directly to Etihad Airways’ commercial strategy and supports continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing revenue performance, operational efficiency, and forecasting accuracy across the airline network.

Key responsibilities
- Achieve monthly revenue targets by optimizing network revenue through accurate demand forecasting and application of strategic revenue management techniques aligned with PRASK objectives
- Develop and maintain detailed demand forecasting models across multiple dimensions including cabin class, time of departure, day of week, origin, destination, peak travel periods, and special events to ensure accurate revenue planning and optimization
- Analyze market trends, competitor pricing strategies, and demand patterns to identify risks and opportunities and adjust revenue management strategies accordingly
- Monitor and evaluate revenue performance metrics, conduct regular performance reviews, and implement data-driven adjustments to improve revenue outcomes and forecasting accuracy
- Collaborate with Network Planning, Sales, Marketing, E-commerce, Loyalty, and Alliance teams to align pricing, demand forecasting, and revenue strategies with overall airline business objectives
- Utilize airline revenue management systems and tools such as PROS, GDS platforms, MIDT data, and management accounting reports to support analytical decision-making and optimize revenue performance
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by refining demand forecasting methodologies, validating system outputs, and enhancing Origin and Destination data accuracy for network optimization
- Provide subject matter expertise for revenue management projects and support strategic initiatives aimed at improving demand forecasting and revenue optimization capabilities across the organization
Experience & skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a numerate and analytical role with focus on demand forecasting or revenue management
- Degree level education or relevant analytical experience in aviation, economics, finance, or related discipline
- High familiarity with airline revenue management systems including PROS, GDS, MIDT, and management accounting reports
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills for forecasting and performance analysis in airline commercial environments
- Experience working with Origin and Destination (O&D) systems and network optimization concepts
- Understanding of airline commercial functions including pricing, sales, and revenue management
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams within an airline commercial environment
