Job description
The Biologics Product Specialist at AstraZeneca in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, is responsible for generating clinical demand for the Biologics portfolio through strategic engagement with key accounts, including healthcare professionals and institutional stakeholders. The role involves identifying business opportunities, presenting value propositions aligned to stakeholder needs, influencing prescribing behavior, and driving sales performance to achieve or exceed targets. Key responsibilities include developing account strategies and business plans in collaboration with Sales, Franchise Manager, and cross-functional teams, analyzing market and competitor data, allocating resources to optimize sales impact, and ensuring effective product promotion. The Specialist builds deep, long-term stakeholder relationships within MDTs and DMUs, conducts science-based discussions with HCPs, organizes workshops and speaker programs, and supports training for pharmacists and nurses. The role includes reporting, territory management, budget oversight, compliance with regulations, adherence to AstraZeneca ethical standards, and active participation in self-development initiatives to enhance effectiveness in a complex healthcare ecosystem.

Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement local account strategies and business plans to improve positioning of AstraZeneca's Biologics products
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify business opportunities within the territory
- Allocate resources including call activities and budgets for optimal sales impact and monitor account business plan execution
- Engage with key stakeholders, including MDT and DMU members, to support on-label prescribing and product adoption
- Conduct scientific discussions and deliver approved promotional messages for Biologics products
- Organize and facilitate multidisciplinary workshops, training sessions, and speaker programs with physician advocates and KOLs
- Maintain and update customer data, segmentation, and call records in Veeva CRM
- Submit monthly and daily reports, monitor sales transactions, and identify potential irregular patterns
- Drive sales performance and ensure sales forecasts meet or exceed targets while managing assigned budgets
- Ensure all activities comply with internal policies, external regulations, and AstraZeneca Code of Conduct
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to implement sales strategy and account action plans
Experience & skills
- Saudi national
- 1–2 years of pharmaceutical sales experience, preferably with Biologics
- Experience in account management and stakeholder engagement within complex clinical environments
- Proven ability to influence stakeholder decision-making in a multi-player healthcare ecosystem
- Experience working in cross-functional teams
- Strong medical knowledge and business acumen
- Ability to deliver customer value propositions and patient-centric solutions
- Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated impact and influencing capabilities
- Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are advantageous
