Job description
Jumeirah Saadiyat Island is seeking a skilled Senior Technician to join its Engineering team. This eco-conscious luxury resort requires an experienced technician capable of coordinating maintenance and repair activities across a wide range of technical disciplines. The role involves implementing preventive maintenance procedures, supervising mechanical and electrical systems, responding to faults and irregularities, and ensuring engineering operations support hotel activities. The technician will be a key figure in delivering seamless service in support of guest satisfaction and resort functionality.

Key responsibilities
- Implement preventive maintenance procedures and ensure scheduled checks are recorded and filed.
- Prioritize and resolve repair requests and equipment breakdowns efficiently.
- Supervise maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment, building systems, and hotel facilities.
- Review shift reports for technical irregularities and work with the Director of Engineering on corrective actions.
- Conduct shift briefings on engineering procedures, standards, and maintenance protocols.
- Ensure engineering support for key operational events in guestrooms and F&B banquet areas.
Experience & skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a relevant technical field (e.g., carpenter, mason, electrician, plumber, painter, refrigeration, mechanical).
- Knowledge of Work Order Systems.
- Experience in maintaining systems in high-rise buildings or resort environments.
- Ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings.
- Capability to work independently without direct supervision.
- Strong coordination and leadership skills within an engineering team.
