Job description
AIQ, a joint venture between Presight and ADNOC, is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Developer to build advanced dashboards and visualizations using Spotfire and Power BI. This role requires deep data modeling expertise, experience handling large datasets, and integration of cloud-based and relational data sources. The ideal candidate will also have a strong foundation in REST APIs and database query optimization, with preference given to those with experience in the Oil & Gas industry. Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Design and develop interactive Spotfire dashboards with advanced features and JavaScript API customizations
- Create advanced visualizations including heatmaps, scatter plots, treemaps, and geospatial maps
- Use Spotfire Data Functions and external R/Python scripts for analytics
- Integrate Spotfire with various data sources including relational databases and REST APIs
- Develop and publish Power BI dashboards with Power Query and DAX
- Use Power BI Service and Embedded features for collaboration and application integration
- Develop advanced Power BI models with Tabular Model optimization
- Integrate cloud sources like Azure and AWS with BI tools
- Work with REST APIs for data integration and automation
- Optimize dashboards for large datasets with efficient performance techniques
- Develop data models to support complex reporting requirements
- Ensure data quality and consistency via audits and validations
- Write and optimize SQL queries for Oracle and PostgreSQL
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs
- Train and support end-users on dashboards and reports
- Document BI processes and solutions for transparency and sharing
Experience & skills
- 5+ years of experience in BI dashboard design and development
- Strong data analysis and data modelling experience
- Experience with large, complex datasets
- Expertise in Spotfire and Power BI tools
- Advanced knowledge of DAX, Power Query, and Power BI Service
- Proficiency in SQL for Oracle and PostgreSQL
- Experience integrating cloud platforms like Azure and AWS
- Hands-on experience with REST APIs
- Knowledge of data warehousing and big data technologies is a plus
- Familiarity with Oil & Gas domain data is highly desirable
- Experience with ETL tools and performance optimization strategies
- Certifications in BI tools (Spotfire, Power BI) preferred
