Job description
As a Finance Associate at The Green Planet, part of Dubai Holding Entertainment, you will play a key role in managing the day-to-day cash operations and supporting financial processes to ensure accuracy, control, and compliance. The role requires a strong understanding of cash room functions, adherence to internal procedures, and hands-on experience with various POS systems. From performing daily cash counts to preparing sales reports and supporting audits, youâll be an integral part of the finance team helping maintain robust financial discipline. Working in a fast-paced entertainment environment, youâll ensure timely reporting and support operational teams in meeting daily financial requirements.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Demonstrate a sound understanding of the Cash Room function and its related policies and procedures
- Maintain vigilance to prevent theft and ensure accurate record keeping
- Perform daily cash counts including Safe and Bulk Cash Reconciliation Machine (BCRM) as per policy
- Complete ad hoc tasks assigned by the Finance team
- Conduct outlet cash spot checks and archive all daily/monthly cash documents
- Prepare petty cash floats with appropriate denominations for distribution to cashiers before gate operations
- Ensure separate bulk cash deposits for each revenue line
- Maintain accurate cash count records with currency breakdown for audit and year-end physical count
- Assist in compiling and submitting refund details and supporting documents to the Finance team
- Track and report daily sales data
- Prepare and send daily sales reports for the business
Experience & skills
- Bachelorâs degree in Finance or Business Administration
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion in financial matters
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (Pivot Tables), PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Process-oriented with excellent judgment and problem-solving skills
- Hands-on experience with different POS systems such as Opera, Omnico, and VGS
- Fluency in Arabic is an advantage
