Job description
The Assistant Manager - Vehicle Remarketing at Al-Futtaim Automotive (Hertz) plays a key role in managing the end-of-life vehicle process across the fleet. This position is responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing the vehicle disposal strategy to ensure maximum residual value recovery and minimal holding costs, while maintaining full compliance with company, legal, and regulatory standards. Based in Dubai, the role involves developing an annual disposal strategy aligned with fleet replacement plans, identifying aging vehicles for sale, and managing multiple remarketing channels including auctions, traders, B2B buyers, and export partners. The Assistant Manager will oversee vehicle evaluation, servicing, inspection, and documentation processes, ensuring readiness for sale within defined turnaround times. The position also requires the use of analytical tools such as Power BI, SAP, Autorolla, Carpro, and Excel to manage disposal pipelines, produce reports, and provide data-driven recommendations to management. Success in this role depends on strategic thinking, negotiation skills, strong data analysis capabilities, and the ability to coordinate with internal teams to ensure efficient, compliant, and profitable disposal operations.

- Develop and implement the annual vehicle disposal strategy aligned with fleet replacement and business objectives.
- Monitor the aging fleet to identify vehicles for disposal based on mileage, age, and condition.
- Manage multiple vehicle sales channels including auctions, traders, B2B customers, and export markets.
- Negotiate with buyers to optimize sale prices and maximize residual value recovery.
- Coordinate with internal teams for inspection, servicing, and documentation to ensure vehicle readiness for sale within target timelines.
- Ensure compliance with legal, RTA, and internal requirements throughout the vehicle disposal process.
- Maintain visibility and accuracy of disposal pipelines using fleet management systems.
- Generate and deliver detailed disposal reports, market insights, and pricing recommendations to management.
- Recommend pricing strategies by analyzing market trends and benchmarking competitor activities.
- Collaborate with finance teams to support vehicle write-offs, asset reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Establish and maintain strong vendor and buyer relationships to enhance sales performance and operational efficiency.
Experience & skills
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Automotive, or a related discipline.
- Possess 3–5 years of experience in fleet management, automotive remarketing, or vehicle sales operations.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Excel and fleet management systems such as SAP, Autorolla, Carpro, and Power BI.
- Show strong analytical and data management skills with the ability to interpret statistical insights.
- Display excellent negotiation, communication, and conflict management capabilities.
- Exhibit strategic thinking and commercial awareness to optimize disposal profitability.
- Be capable of collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure operational alignment and compliance.
- Possess a solid understanding of the UAE automotive market and regulatory environment.
