Job description
Music and fine arts lessons for students in grades 3 to 8 are the focus of this teaching post with Saudi Aramco Expatriate Schools (SAES). Instruction is planned and evaluated with colleagues, aligned to the SAES curriculum and adapted to suit a diverse group of learners. Students and parents should always know the learning objectives, and progress is measured through a range of assessment methods with regular feedback. Where a student's social, emotional, behavioural or academic growth gives cause for concern, you step in and involve the right colleagues. School principals supervise the role, and day-to-day work involves other educators, paraprofessionals and parent volunteers. Attendance, performance and conduct records are kept accurately, and Company and SAES rules apply in every class. Ongoing professional learning at regional, district and school level is expected. Applicants need a bachelor's or master's degree in education, a valid teaching certification for the relevant subjects and levels, 3 years of full-time teaching in a Pre-K to Grade 8 setting and excellent English.
