Job description
This role at CPX in Abu Dhabi involves securing Operational Technology (OT), Industrial IoT (IIoT), and IoT environments across critical infrastructure sectors such as oil & gas, utilities, and manufacturing. The Manager - OT Cybersecurity will consult on cybersecurity strategies, architecture, and implementation while leading client engagement activities, conducting assessments, and implementing advanced security solutions tailored to industrial control systems. The role demands both technical mastery and strong consulting abilities, with a focus on guiding organizations through digital security transformation.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement OT/IoT/IIoT cybersecurity strategies, architectures, and frameworks tailored to clientâs needs
- Provide cybersecurity by design expertise for securing industrial control systems during the EPC phase
- Conduct OT/IoT/IIoT cybersecurity risk assessments, maturity evaluations, and gap analyses based on standards like IEC 62443 and NIST CSF
- Design and implement OT SOC and security monitoring solutions for industrial environments
- Guide clients in incident response, digital forensics, and resilience planning for OT/IoT/IIoT environments
- Provide technical expertise in OT security solutions including network segmentation, firewalls, IDS/IPS, asset management, and anomaly detection
- Work with industrial automation vendors like Siemens, Schneider Electric, Honeywell, ABB, Rockwell Automation, Emerson, GE, and Yokogawa
- Implement cybersecurity controls like secure remote access, data diodes, and endpoint protection
- Ensure secure integration of IoT/IIoT devices and manage supply chain cybersecurity risks
- Stay updated on latest OT/IoT/IIoT threats and vulnerabilities
- Conduct PoCs for emerging security solutions and develop whitepapers
- Lead executive briefings, workshops, and training on OT/IoT/IIoT cybersecurity
- Translate complex technical content into compelling narratives for C-level executives
- Collaborate with IT, compliance, and operations teams to build holistic security solutions
- Develop structured consulting deliverables including reports and presentations
Experience & skills
- Minimum 11 years of relevant experience
- Bachelorâs or Masterâs degree in Cybersecurity, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
- Deep knowledge of OT/ICS/SCADA cybersecurity principles and architectures
- Hands-on experience with DCS, PLCs, RTUs, HMIs, Historian systems
- Strong expertise in industrial protocols like Modbus, DNP3, OPC-UA, PROFINET, Ethernet/IP
- Experience with OT security tools: firewalls, IDS/IPS, anomaly detection, industrial antivirus, application whitelisting
- Secure remote access experience using jump servers, data diodes, zero-trust
- Familiarity with IEC 62443, NIST 800-82, NERC CIP, ISA 99, TSA directives
- OT SOC implementation and security monitoring experience
- Understanding of cloud security and edge computing in IIoT
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
- Strong documentation and storytelling capabilities
- Client engagement and workshop leadership
- Experience in business development and pre-sales support (a plus)
- Certifications preferred: GIAC GRID, GICSP, IEC 62443 Expert, CISSP, CISM, CRISC, Cisco CCNA/CCNP Industrial, SANS ICS
