Job description
Salla's logistics and shipping operations are scaling fast, and this Accountant, Logistics role exists to keep revenue, cost, and financial control accurate as that growth continues. Accounting, reconciliation, and reporting across logistics operations all sit under this position, covering revenue and cost management, billing, collections, merchant compensations, and financial controls. You will calculate logistics related revenues accurately and track financial performance metrics, reconciling generated revenues against issued invoices and resolving discrepancies systematically. Deferred revenue gets recorded, monitored, and managed in compliance with IFRS, with significant fluctuations in revenue, costs, volumes, and margins investigated as they arise. Vendor and logistics partner invoices get reconciled against internal operational records such as AWBs and shipping rates, with COGS and direct shipping cost entries processed and recorded accurately. Periodic reconciliations run across logistics transactions, shipping gateways, and clearing accounts, feeding into analytical reports on billing, collections, and shipping margins. Fully audit ready financial records get maintained in compliance with accounting standards, with auditor requirements and data requests fulfilled on time. Operations, Product, and Account Management teams become close collaborators in resolving pending requests, unmapped transactions, and operational bottlenecks, while shipping and logistics accounting workflows get continuously evaluated and streamlined.
