Job description
The Technical Account Manager for the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia at Veeam, the global market leader in data resilience, provides proactive support and technical management during and after Veeam implementations. The role focuses on helping customers unlock the full value of Veeam Software products and services related to data backup, data recovery, data portability, data security, and data intelligence, while acting as a trusted technical advisor. The Technical Account Manager is responsible for planning, architecture, coordination, and management of post-sales technical engagements, with a strong emphasis on architecting and project management of availability solutions, including data protection and monitoring. The role requires deep expertise in Data Management, Data Analytics, Business Continuity, Data Center environments, Cloud technologies, Operating Systems, Networking, Storage, and Virtualization. The position supports delivery and consulting services, solution design, implementation estimation, post-installation support, documentation, onsite knowledge transfer, and ongoing optimization of Veeam Software configurations, while facilitating communication between clients and Veeam support and identifying additional opportunities where Veeam solutions can address customer needs. The role is office based in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia and may require overnight business travel to meet company objectives. Applicants must be permanently located in Saudi Arabia, as Veeam reserves the right to decline applications from candidates permanently based outside the country.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Support delivery and consulting services to meet Veeam Software solution design requirements and defined deliverables
- Provide overall project guidance including project plans, schedules, communication plans, resource plans, and status updates
- Assist with assessment and design of technical solutions and resolve post-installation issues
- Assist with Veeam Software solution implementation effort estimation
- Create white papers, solution guides, best practices documentation, and custom technical documentation
- Deliver onsite knowledge transfer and technical enablement on Veeam Software solutions
- Document system configurations and completed technical activities
- Analyze installed customer environments and guide optimal Veeam Software configurations
- Facilitate communication and coordination between clients and Veeam support teams
- Identify additional needs within customer environments that can be addressed using Veeam Software solutions
- Provide input for continuous improvement of internal processes and technical documentation
- Travel overnight as required to meet company goals and objectives
Experience & skills
- Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in the IT industry
- Hold VMware VCP, Microsoft MCSE, or equivalent technical certification or experience
- Demonstrate experience or certification in Prince 2, ITIL, PMP, or equivalent project management frameworks
- Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in technology or an acceptable combination of education and experience
- Have hands-on experience with Veeam’s core products
- Demonstrate proven consulting and project management experience
- Possess significant experience and understanding of virtualization technologies including VMware and Hyper-V
- Have experience with disruptive storage systems and technologies such as Nimble, Nexsan, Actifio, and Veeam
- Demonstrate hands-on experience with networking protocols and equipment including Fiber Channel, Ethernet, and Cloud services
- Have experience with traditional storage and backup architectures including EMC, NetApp, IBM, HP/3PAR, Hitachi, and Dell
- Possess hands-on experience with enterprise applications such as Exchange, SQL, and Oracle
- Demonstrate experience in Data Management, Data Protection, and Data Analytics
- Have experience with Kubernetes platforms
- Demonstrate extensive experience with Data Center environments, Business Continuity, and Operating Systems
- Demonstrate experience managing multiple simultaneous projects and customer accounts
- Possess working knowledge of Cloud technologies, capabilities, and protocols
- Possess working knowledge of security technologies and security concepts
