Key responsibilities
- Lead and support external audit engagements for financial services clients
- Analyze financial statements and ensure compliance with IFRS and regulations
- Test internal controls and audit processes
- Review audit work performed by associates and provide coaching
- Communicate audit progress, risks, and issues to management
- Research industry and client-specific information
- Ensure audit files are completed and documented accurately
- Monitor engagement budgets and analyze variances
- Build strong client relationships and support business development
- Participate in digital audit initiatives and data analytics usage
- Ensure compliance with risk, quality, and independence standards
Experience & skills
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CA, ACA) completed or in progress
- Experience in external audit within a Big 4 firm preferred
- Experience auditing financial services clients (Banking/Insurance) preferred
- Strong knowledge of IFRS (especially IFRS 9, IFRS 17)
- Knowledge of International Standards on Auditing (ISA)
- Strong project management and leadership skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience coaching junior team members
- Bilingual Arabic and English is a plus
