Job description
The Senior Director of Strategy & Business Development for META at Honeywell, based in Dubai, leads the development and execution of regional growth strategies for all Strategic Business Groups (SBGs) across Middle East, Türkiye, and Central Asia. This role is accountable for driving major pursuits, strategic accounts, partnerships, and localization initiatives while partnering with global Strategy & Business Development leaders to leverage cross-regional growth opportunities. Responsibilities include leading annual strategic planning (STRAP) for META, providing cross-business line guidance on industry and market analysis, competitor benchmarking, and forming strategic alliances. The position applies strategic insight and analytical rigor to assess new growth opportunities, disruptive industry trends, and develops actionable plans in collaboration with local and global business leaders. The Senior Director also leads the META Strategic Channel program, supports M&A initiatives, and provides coaching and leadership to Strategy & BD teams across the region, ensuring alignment with Honeywell’s global strategy and driving measurable business impact.

Key responsibilities
- Lead the Regional Strategy and Business Development function for META, including major pursuits, strategic accounts, partnerships, and localization initiatives.
- Oversee and drive the annual strategic planning (STRAP) process for META in collaboration with local and global SBG leaders, ensuring actionable implementation.
- Partner with global regions Strategy & BD leaders to identify cross-regional leverage opportunities, share best practices, and implement growth initiatives.
- Provide cross-business line and divisional leadership in strategy formulation, country-level analysis, market and industry assessments, competitor benchmarking, and strategic alliance management.
- Conduct deep-dive market assessments and business case analyses of emerging and disruptive growth opportunities, applying strategic insight and quantitative rigor.
- Work with local and global business leaders to develop executable action plans aligned with strategic direction and business priorities.
- Lead the META Strategic Channel program by identifying key channels, developing mutually agreed plans (MAP), and executing initiatives to enable channel success.
- Support M&A initiatives in META, including strategy development, due diligence, and post-merger integration activities.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and coaching to members of the Strategy & Business Development team across META countries to build capability and drive performance.
- Engage with senior business leaders to influence strategic decision-making, develop actionable insights, and ensure alignment with Honeywell’s corporate objectives.
- Represent Honeywell in client-facing and industry events, communicating strategic direction and insights to internal and external stakeholders.
Experience & skills
- 15+ years of post-university experience, including top-tier strategy/management consulting and at least 3–5 years of operational experience at a global MNC in industrial/high-tech sectors.
- Deep knowledge of META markets and experience in emerging market environments; prior exposure to other emerging markets is highly desired.
- Industry experience in manufacturing, industrial, aerospace, automotive, electronics, chemicals, or related sectors.
- Experience in Channel Excellence, Product Marketing, Sales, Business Development, or other client-facing roles is strongly preferred; software and digital marketing exposure is a plus.
- Outstanding ability to identify business questions, frame key issues, and develop actionable insights.
- Strong quantitative and financial analysis skills, including financial modeling, scenario planning, value analysis, and customer segmentation.
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects, changing priorities, and dynamic environments while making sound strategic decisions.
- Excellent leadership presence, stakeholder management skills, and ability to influence senior business leaders across diverse geographies.
- Demonstrated understanding of Western business practices and Middle Eastern business, cultural, and societal dynamics.
- Fluent in English; Arabic language skills are a plus.
- Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from a leading international business school; undergraduate and/or master’s degree in engineering is highly preferred.
