Job description
The Commercial Manager at Presight plays a pivotal role in driving commercial excellence across cloud computing, AI, and data platform solutions. This position is responsible for maximizing revenue, profitability, and long-term contract value by developing robust financial models, pricing strategies, and commercial frameworks aligned with corporate objectives and risk appetite. Operating within a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment, the Commercial Manager partners closely with Sales, Finance, Legal, Product, and Delivery teams to structure competitive, scalable, and profitable enterprise deals. The role involves deep involvement in SaaS, PaaS, and AI-driven solution pricing, including subscription, hybrid, and consumption-based commercial models tailored to complex enterprise clients. The incumbent ensures that all contracts, including MSAs, SOWs, SLAs, and subscription agreements, are commercially sound, risk-mitigated, and compliant with revenue recognition standards. Additionally, the role provides market intelligence insights, win-loss analysis, and margin improvement strategies to support executive decision-making. This position demands strong financial literacy, advanced analytical capability, negotiation expertise, and a thorough understanding of hyperscaler ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP) and AI/ML commercialization frameworks.

Key responsibilities
- Lead development of financial models, pricing structures, and business cases for cloud, AI, and data solution proposals
- Analyze deal profitability, Total Contract Value (TCV), and margin impact to ensure sustainable growth
- Support bid teams with full P&L ownership for large-scale enterprise deals
- Design and implement innovative pricing strategies including subscription, hybrid, and consumption-based models
- Benchmark pricing strategies against market trends and competitor positioning
- Lead commercial negotiations with enterprise clients on pricing terms and commercial conditions
- Review and negotiate commercial components of MSAs, SOWs, SLAs, and subscription agreements
- Identify and mitigate financial, operational, and legal risks in collaboration with Legal, Finance, and Delivery teams
- Ensure alignment of commercial structures with revenue recognition principles
- Act as the primary commercial interface between Sales, Finance, Legal, Product, and Delivery functions
- Present commercial recommendations and risk assessments to senior leadership and executive committees
- Monitor market trends in cloud services, AI platforms, and big data solutions to inform go-to-market strategies
- Provide commercial insights through win-loss analysis, client behavior trends, and margin optimization initiatives
- Ensure compliance with QHSE, Business Continuity, Information Security, Privacy, Risk, and Governance policies
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field
- 7–10 years of experience in commercial management, pricing, or commercial finance within cloud computing, AI, IT services, or data solutions industries
- Strong experience with enterprise SaaS and cloud-based commercial deals
- Expertise in financial modeling, pricing analytics, and complex deal structuring
- Strong understanding of contract law principles, commercial risk management, and contractual terms management
- Advanced Excel proficiency and strong financial literacy
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Familiarity with hyperscaler commercial models (AWS, Azure, GCP) preferred
- Knowledge of AI/ML commercialization frameworks and data platform monetization models
- Understanding of revenue recognition standards in software and technology services
